care to patients facing injuries and illnesses. You

What health services
does the Hospital provide?
Grey Bruce Health Services Markdale provides a full
range of medical services including 24-hour emergency
care, acute hospital care, palliative care, day surgery,
obstetrics, diagnostic imaging, physiotherapy, and laboratory
services for the community. Visiting specialists provide
orthopedic, plastic and general surgical care. Clinical
nutrition, foot and eye clinics, and diabetes care are
examples of the diverse services available.

How is the Hospital funded?
Operational funding for the Hospital is funded by the
Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care through
the Grey Bruce Health Services Corporation. The Centre
Grey Hospital has an annual budget of $4 million.

are there at the Hospital?
The Hospital is one of the leading employers in the
region with 83 full and part-time staff members including
46 nurses and 35 specialists who work in the areas of:

Is there an Auxiliary
associated with the Hospital?
Yes. More than 80 volunteers participate in the Centre
Grey Hospital Auxiliary which has provided faithful
service on behalf of local healthcare for over 50 years.
