15 hospital foundations were involved in this year’s Radiothon which was simulcast on CKNX AM 920, 101.7 The One and 94.5 The Bull. Each foundation has its own project it is raising money for.
For Centre Grey Health Services Foundation in Markdale, the Radiothon helped raise over $8,600 for a new digital Electrocardiogram Machine.
Adele Goldsmith, Foundation friend, says, “The CKNX Health Care Heroes Radiothon is a fabulous event, not only because of the money it raises but also because it increases the awareness about every community’s need to support its local hospital.”
And for the fourth year, the Great, Humungous Hospital Penny and Change Drive was held at six elementary schools in the Grey Highlands area. Almost $2,000 was raised as many young donors took part in fundraising for local health care.
