Thanks to the generosity of many people, Centre Grey Health Services Foundation’s Silent Auction was a great success with over $17,500 being raised through the event. More than 777 items were donated, 250 people came out to bid on the auction items, and over 70 volunteers graciously helped out during the event.
The funds raised through the Silent Auction will help with the purchase of Patient Monitoring Equipment for the hospital in Markdale, which will include:
has an ultra violet light to assess veins rather than rather than taking several pokes to find one |
an instrument used to assess eye pressure for glaucoma |
assists with breathing rather than introducing a tube into an airway |
used for assessing patients, rather than introducing a catheter into a bladder |
These are all excellent additions and improvements for the patients using the Markdale Hospital.
