On March 27th Dawna Fitzgerald fulfilled her pledge to the new Centre Grey Hospital with a cheque for $25,000 given to the Hospital Foundation. She raised funds through a gift wrapping done in the stores to the campaign for the new hospital building. Since November 2003, 8992 gifts have been wrapped in a price range between $2 and $6, resulting in the $25,000 contribution. Fitzgerald noted, “Our employees are a very big part of this contribution to the hospital – thanks to them for helping make it happen.”
Hospital Foundation Chair Dan Rose commented at the presentation, “This is one more example of the tremendous commitment of the people of Centre Grey for their new hospital building. Dawna Fitzgerald is an excellent example of how local business people continue to support this campaign.”
