Seven year old Aidan Dennis, who lives in Markdale and goes to school at Beavercrest Elementary School, is in grade 2 this year. He was inspired by Centre Grey Health Services Foundation’s recent Hospital Penny & Change Drive to raise money for the local Centre Grey hospital.
Aidan attended the Applefest in Clarksburg on October 10th and assisted his mom & dad, Craig & Connie Dennis with a team of Belgian horses giving horse drawn wagon rides. On his own, Aidan decided to decorate a bucket & made up a sign that read “Donations to the Markdale Hospital, thank you” and accepted donations from the people taking the wagon rides throughout the day. Aidan says “there are lots of sick people that come to the hospital and I wanted to help them somehow”. He raised $71.89 all by himself!
