Pictured is the group of volunteers that worked at Centre Grey Health Services Foundation’s (CGHSF) third annual Charity Concert event on Saturday, May 12th at The Markdale Golf & Curling Club.
Over 230 people attended the very successful event. Over $16,000 was raised through the event, which was generously sponsored by Miller Paving Limited – Leo McArthur, and by Scotiabank. The Bakery in Flesherton graciously donated a variety of tasty desserts for the evening; Ice River Springs kindly provided the bottled water and Jake and Anne Marie Hammer donated the coffee for the night. The funds raised through the concert will go towards priority hospital equipment for Centre Grey Hospital in Markdale.
CGHSF was honoured to be able to feature the very talented Kenny Munshaw and his band as this year’s performers (they have played for the likes of Barack and Michelle Obama, as well as Canada’s own Stephen Harper!). The band amazed all night long with an excellent variety of music and the dance floor was full from the beginning of the first song straight through to the end of the evening!
Thanks to everyone who joined us at the event, to all the volunteers (thanks so much for your help!) and a very special thank you to Leo McArthur and to the staff at the Markdale branch of Scotiabank! We couldn’t have done it without the tremendous support we received from everyone who got involved – we hope to see everyone again next year!
