Pictured is Lynda Betts of the Hospital Auxiliary standing near the Light for Life display in the Centre Grey Hospital lobby. Lynda works very hard on this display each year and personally hand writes all of the donor names on the Christmas balls for the display.
A very special thank you to Lynda, all the Auxiliary members and other volunteers who assisted with our annual “letter stuffing”, and all those who supported this year’s campaign and helped to make it such a success. And what a success it was! Nearly 750 people donated to the campaign, raising a total of more than $70,000.
In combination with other fundraising activities, this has enabled our hospital to proceed with the purchase of essential medical equipment. Medical staff are now “test driving” a series of operating room tables to determine which will best serve the needs of this community. A treadmill is on order, oscillating and sagital saws have been purchased, a power drill and other items on the hospital’s priority list will follow shortly.
Once again, the Centre Grey community has come through in great style to support local health care. Thank you and congratulations to all!
