Centre Grey Health Services Foundation (CGHSF) is very pleased to report that over $64,000 was raised through this year’s Light for Life annual Christmas campaign that is held to raise funds for hospital equipment at Centre Grey Hospital in Markdale.
Pictured is Nancy Edwards of the Centre Grey Hospital Auxiliary standing near the Light for Life display in the Centre Grey Hospital lobby. A very special thank you to Nancy for all of her hard work posting the donor names on the display throughout the campaign and to Lynda Betts for her superb organization of all of the display materials over the past years. CGHSF would also like to thank all of the Auxiliary members and other volunteers who assisted with the annual “letter stuffing”, and to all those who supported this year’s campaign and helped to make it such a success.
CGHSF’s fundraising activities throughout the 2008 year, including the Light for Life campaign, have focused on raising money for a new C-Arm X-ray machine. These efforts have proven to be successful. With the money raised through the Silent Auction, the annual Golf Tournament, the Health Care Heroes Radiothon, memorial and general donations combined with the funds raised through the Light for Life campaign, CGHSF will be able to purchase the new C-Arm X-ray machine for Centre Grey Hospital this year. It is estimated at an approximate cost of $166,500.
Once again, the Centre Grey community has come through in great style to support local health care. Thank you and congratulations to all!
