As part of their commitment to the Hospital Campaign, Markdale Rotary Club presented a cheque for $6400 at the opening of the new Cancer Care Centre at the Grey Bruce Health Services Owen Sound. This brings their contribution to the Hospital Campaign to almost $25,000.

The new Centre is part of an $11.4-million campaign aimed at improving cancer and heart care in our region. It is about 40 per cent larger than the former space and will locate all oncology services in the same floor which will help deliver the best possible care to the over 14,000 patients.

The public portion of the fundraising drive was launched in May 2014; about $700,000 still needs to be raised. Anyone wishing to support the hospital campaign contact the Centre Grey Health Services Foundation office at:
