HOSPITAL ROARING 20’s FUNDRAISER A RAGING SUCCESS!
On May 25th, Centre Grey Health Service Foundation transformed the Osprey Community Centre back in time to the days of Al Capone and Prohibition with their Roaring 20’s Themed Dinner/Dance. The sold-out event kicked off with guests mingling at a social hour with complimentary locally crafted beer, wine and cider, followed by a fantastic dinner created by Chaplin Catering. Guests then danced the night away with DJ Scott Betts and partook in the numerous raffles, door prizes, photo booth opportunity and a Gatsby good time! “The costumes, both men and women, were amazing” said Sandy Elders, Fundraising Committee member and Event Chair. “We hoped that people would dress up, but we never dreamt that 95% of the people would come in complete costume! We are so grateful for the community support” said Elders. “I felt like I was on a 1920’s movie set” said one guest. Nancy Sinclair, Centre Grey Health Services Foundation Board Director and Fundraising Committee Chair stated; “None of this would be possible without the help of all the sponsors who stepped up for this event and everyone that participated. We thank each and every one of you.” The event raised over $22,000 for local healthcare. Thank you sponsors and community for your support in keeping health care close to home. Top tier sponsors where Osprey Snow Hawks, Feversham and District Kinsmen, Scotiabank, Flato Development, Sparling Propane and Georgian Bay Cremation Services.
