The auction, held at the Markdale Golf and Curling Club during the week of July 7-14, was great fun and very lively. As the final deadline approached there was great excitement as participants jockeyed to place the winning bid on a range of items including art work, furniture, deluxe barbecues, wrought iron and woodcrafts, electronics, and a cottage for a week. More than 175 individuals and businesses donated nearly 700 items and gift certificates; 336 people purchased bid cards and joined in the auction fun.

Special thanks to the Organizing Committee and more than 60 volunteers who made the event happen. We are fortunate to live among such thoughtful, generous people who are always willing to lend their support to this worthy cause.
